Novel describes secret meeting, anti-gravity and UFO incidents Steve HammonsSeptember 27, 2010Leading-edge research into human consciousness and other forward-leaning topics continues to produce interesting results.Sometimes these efforts are conducted by university researchers, sometimes by secret government groups, sometimes by some combination of both. The U.S. Government's Project STAR GATE verified and utilized expanded perception that they fine-tuned into specific techniques they called "remote viewing."There are other sensitive and sometimes unconventional topics that are reportedly the focus of scientific, defense and intelligence community interest. Many of these subjects are also naturally of interest to the general public, journalists and the media as a whole. And, there has been speculation that some people feel that the appropriate amount and type of disclosure and education are important, while others believe certain information should remain secret. We can learn about many of these subjects in open-source platforms such as the Web, books, TV and movies. As we know, many kinds of useful information can be conveyed through fiction in movies, TV, novels and other media platforms. NBC's new TV show "The Event" seems to be one of these platforms. Other TV programs and movies over the years are also good examples.Below is an excerpt from my novel "Mission Into Light," first published in January 2001. This excerpt is the climax of the story about a ten-person secret joint-service U.S. team called the Joint Reconnaissance Study Group (JRSG).In the excerpt, JRSG members and their associates travel to northeastern Arizona from their home base in San Diego for a discreet and unconventional educational meeting....
New ideas, ancient views may explain UFOs, odd phenomenaSteve HammonsOctober 11, 2010There seem to be many indications that modern humans are discovering or rediscovering knowledge and understanding that were known to ancient people. One example might be the research into extrasensory perception (ESP). The operational intelligence "remote viewing" activities conducted by the U.S. program known as Project STAR GATE provided solid evidence that humans do have a "sixth sense."Historically, other cultures have also believed that humans can perceive information from within, using what we might call intuition, instinct, gut feelings or visions. For example, Native American Indians had "vision quests" and other kinds of activities to help them perceive in different ways. Dreams and other non-logical perceptual experiences were thought to sometimes contain valuable information as well.Another possibly-related field of investigation is the inquiry into concepts about multiple dimensions in our universe.OTHER DIMENSIONS NEARBYOne idea of how the universe might be structured is called the "Calabi-Yau space." It has been described as somewhat resembling a crumpled-up and folded-up piece of paper. In this concept, time and space as well as other aspects of the universe twist and turn, and even fold back upon one another. Multiple dimensions – many of which we cannot easily perceive – are nearby. This view could explain unusual phenomena that we sometimes refer to as anomalous, metaphysical or even paranormal. They might actually be normal.Certain ideas about the movement between dimensions seem more feasible when looking at a visual representation of the Calabi-Yau space concept.A close proximity of other dimensions folding upon or bumping into one another might help explain odd unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and reports of beings and creatures who may cross boundaries of one dimension into another and back again....
