Triangle UFO hovers low over Indiana field - five helicopters give chaseJuly 24, 5:30 PMThe UFO Traffic Report for Friday, July 24, 2009, includes nine selected sightings over eight states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.In other News: Volunteers are needed to set up chairs for the Exeter UFO Festival on Friday evening, September 4 or Saturday morning, September 5, at about 7 a.m. They also need volunteers to take down chairs immediately after the conference. A team from the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society investigated, including Stan Gordon, Eric Altman, Dave Dragosin, and Dave's wife Cindy. The witness was driving when she swerved to avoid hitting a figure in the roadway, and she soon realized it was a "strange creature." You can read the incident report here. MUFON Report # 18242.This Tipton County, Indiana, witness saw " three white lights in a triangular pattern hovering just a few feet off of the ground over a field." He said he could see that the lights were attached to "a larger, triangular craft." The object moved slightly, then "shot straight up and away fast." The witness had been pulled off to the side of road watching for five minutes, but about two minutes after the object moved away, five helicopters - all with spotlights - "arrived at the area and went in the direction of the craft."IN, July 18, 2009 - three red balls of light that were attached to a dark triangular craft. MUFON Case # 18241.An Indiana witness driving just west of U.S. Route 31 near Sharpsville "noticed three red lights low in the sky appreaing to hover about 10 to 15 feet above an open cornfield." The witness states that the lights were "all connected, attached to a larger, dark triangular shaped object." The witness watched for a period of time, but then continued to drive southbound away from the object.OH, July 23, 2009 - two crafts two lights each. MUFON Case # 18274.These Ohio witnesses watched what appeared to be two objects, each with two white lights, as they moved slowly across the sky. They kept the same distance between them as they moved.LA, June 5, 2009 - Three bright yellow lights in triangle formation moving in spiral across sky. The lights would disappear for a short time only to return in the same location approx. thirty minutes later. This contiued for approx. 2 hours. MUFON Case # 18272.Two ex-military friends visiting at Rosepine, Louisiana, observed that just below a 100-foot-tall pine tree "was a bright yellow light shining through." One of the witnesses said it appeared to be three bright yellow lights in a triangle formation. In a second round, they said the lights "seem to dip and bob, moving eraticaly." The lights then moved below the tree line and blinked out. Then a third group of lights appeared after 30 minutes and moved in the same manner. And when a fourth set of lights appeared, they realized they had been seeing these sets of lights over a two-hour period. The witnesses agree that they might have been watching flares, but one check with a friend who works at nearby Fort Polk said no aircraft had been in that area on that date dropping flares.NY, July 11, 2009 - ufo spotted transfiguring over Brookhaven National Lab. MUFON Case # 18265.Two friends at Longwood High School watched noticed an Orange Light in the sky that seemed to be about a mile away. The object "stopped in its upward path and morphed from a bright orb into a very sharp triangular object. When it had shifted from an orb to a triangle it let off a strong flash. Once done morphing it hovered in place for about a minute and then it headed flying over where me and my friend were. It passed directly over us!" The object was described as triangular in shape, with a "larger triangle in the middle and 3 trianles on the outside. The lights were a dim yellow and never blinked." The object then moved over them and "flew out of sight over the horizon."MI, July 22, 2009 - Fireballs Over Higgins Lake in the Northern the Lower Peninsula Michigan. MUFON Case # 18263.A family camping at South Higgins Lake State Park, south of Grayling, Michigan, watched approximatley 8 fireballs move across the sky. The objects made no sound and "some seemed to move side to side while heading west. Three of the objects formed a triangle shape. They finally lost sight of the objects behind a tree line.KY, July 21, 2009 - fireball like, w/ blue halo,pulsing, slowly moving south then turn to west,under overcast sky. MUFON Case # 18255.This Kentucy pilot and former aircraft owner saw what looked like "a ball of fire with a blueish pulsing halo." The witness said the object's surface "moved and swirled around giving the look of a fire but contained within the circular shape." He states that there were no navigation or landing lights, and no sound. The object was one-half the size of a dime held at arm's length. After about 30 seconds, the object appeared to come closer and then increased in size. The object then made a slow turn, moving west, then climbed into the cloud cover and faded from sight.CA, July 22, 2009 - A consistent , "Hum & Buzz", followed by a visual of a; "Metallic Sphere". MUFON Case # 18248.A California woman preparing to leave for work heard an odd "hum" sound which continued for about 5 minutes while she was outside. A short while later, she left her home with two children in her vehicle, when she noticed at a distance in front of her "a stationary metallic sphere" in the sky. She observed the object for just a few moments before the roadway direction caused her to lose sight of it. She is now thinking that the two events may be connected.FL, July 22, 2009 - UFO was green and moved slowly with a few moments of hovering. no noise maybe a few hundred feet off the ground. MUFON Report # 18246.A Palm Beach County resident whose front porch faces Lake Osborne noticed a green shining light behind some trees and was coming toward her. The object stopped moving and seemed to hover over John Prince Park campground. She said the object was shaped like a football "without the points at the end." The green light then seemed to get brighter. The woman was overcome with fear and went inside, although she did see the silent object one more time from a window, but when she looked

MUFON Case # 18318.Two Texas witnesses watched a silent object just a few hundred feet off of the ground that seemed to be "the slowest air craft I have ever observed." The dark object had "three large bright white lights in a triangular configuration on its underside, one toward the front, two in the back." The object "appeared to be flat and triangular, with each white light close to a vertex. The size appeared to be around that of a large helicopter but wider. There was one faint, small flashing light towards the front on the right side of the object (the only side I could see) which seemed to emit multiple, alternating colors of which I remember green, white/yellow, and blue." The sighting occurred over a period of less than 2 minutes near a college campus.FL, July 24, 2009 - unknown object in photo of clouds. MUFON Case # 18316.A East Volusia County, Florida, photographer taking pictures of clouds after a major storm, picked up an odd object when viewed later. They are interested in opinions on what this object might be. See photo at top of page.MN, July 27, 2009 - saw a object this morning as i delivered papers. MUFON Case # 18346.A Minnesota witness out delivering newspapers first saw a red light in the trees. The object was "100-150 feet in the air and about 300-400 feet away." The object "was changing from red to light red/white." As the witness moved along the paper route, the object was seen again, but at a much further distance away.MI, July 27, 2009 - Object moving slowly south to north, strobing red, blue, white lights, stops, hovers for 15 min. Slowly rotating lengthwise. MUFON Case # 18338.This Michigan witness observed an object between 4,000 and 6,000 feet in altitude "flashing a linear row of white bright strobe lights sequentially along its entire length from back to front, a bright red strobe on the front, and a bright large blue white strobe light on it's rear end on one corner, and a large white strobe light on the other corner." The witness was 15 to 20 miles away and was a half-mile to 1 mile in length. The object stopped and hovered in one position for 15 minutes, and then slowly traveled away over a period of 5 minutes until it disappeared from sight.NY, July , 2009 - multiple ufo sitings. MUFON Case # 18337.A New York witness overlooking Jones Beach first saw a bright red-orange light as he stood talking to a commercial pilot. The light was dismissed, but later that evening, several witnesses pointed out another odd light in the sky. The object was described as a "huge red orange egg shaped craft" moving over the house, which then disappeared into a cloud. But then a second similar object was seen coming from the western side of the house and traveling in the same direction as the first object. A third object then moved over the house and headed out over the ocean. With an airliner nearby, the witness is guessing that the UFOs were as big as the jet or bigger. The witness speculates that the pilot of the jet would have to have seen these objects.TX, July 26, 2009 - Very Bright Orange Light or Ball. MUFON Case # 18336.A Tilden, Texas, witness saw a bright orange object "as bright as a street light" that appeared to be about 1,000 feet off of the ground. The object either gained altitude or simply faded away.OH, July 26, 2009 - Bright light traveling in straight line from west to east. MUFON Case # 18335. These Ohio witnesses watched a bright light move across the sky with no sound or navigation lights.Photo: Witness image was reduced in size for this page. MUFON database.They described the object as "brighter and whiter than any other aircraft I had ever seen in the area."OR, July 23, 2009 - it was a big silver box parked on side of an old logging road on a mountain clearing. MUFON Case # 18331.A couple driving in Oregon noticed a "huge rectagular looking thing" on the side of a mountain. They said the object was bright, like a piece of silver and looked like a large recreational vehicle. On their return trip several hours later, the object was gone.NV, July 25, 2009 - BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT TRAVELING NW TO SE AT SPEED SLOWER THAN MOST PLANES. DISAPPEARED AND THEN REAPPEARED BRIEFLY TEN MINUTES LATER. MUFON Case # 18319.Two Nevada witnesses watched a silent Bright White Light crossing over the sky at about 2,000 feet. The size of the light was approxiatemly one-quarter the size of the full moon. About 10 minutes later, the object reappeared east of their location, turned south, and disappeared. The witnesses felt uneasy and went inside.WA, July 25, 2009 - many unknown lights. MUFON Case # 18311.Three Washington witnesses watched what at first were four oval lights in the sky. For about 20 minutes, the lights "would circle in the sky and come to one exact point altogether." During this time, other oval lights appeared in the sky, but not as bright as these four. They said the lights "would form one main oval light, break off and make a circular motion in the sky and then form back into one oval light." After 30 minutes, the lights just vanished.TX, July 25, 2009 - Bright red light appeared out of nowhere, increased in brightness, it was over the lake (lake travis), shortly after focusing binoculars it disappeared completely. MUFON Case # 18325.Illustration: Witness sketch. MUFON database.Three Texas witnesses said a "very bright red light" appeared out of nowhere - appearing spherical or circular from their location. Looking at the object through binoculars, they said "there was a definitive object, with lights helping to define its features." One witness said he saw a red light and a smaller, purple-white light. A second witness said he saw a bright red light, and one or two white-yellow lights. Just as they moved to photograph the silent object, it "blinked out." They agreed that the object "was somewhat triangular in shape and appeared to be bigger than a helicopter or small plane, but was not bigger than a commercial aircraft."MO, July 25, 2009 - White unblinking light moves silently back and forth across the sky at different altitudes - one time growing large and then bright blue flash while moving away. MUFON Case # 18307.A Missouri witness first saw an unblinking white light moving across the sky in a straight line until it was out of sight. About 10 minutes later, possibly the same light came back from the location it had moved to and was growing bigger. "For about 5-10 seconds it grew bigger and brighter until it suddenly had a bright blue/white flash. After the blue/white flash it quickly dimmed and disappeared." The bright flash was described as the size of a nickel held at arm's length. " It almost appeared as though the light was a slow rotating light on the object or the object itself was rotating." About 10 minutes after this event, the same light was seen at a higher altitude. And then it appeared again about 5 minutes later. And then 15 minutes later, at a lower altitude of approximately 3,000 to 5,000 feet, the object flew directly over the witnesses' house. "The light was very white, very bright, and again no blinking and no noise."OR, July 21, 2009 - Bright flaming hovering object above treeline in southeast portland. MUFON Case # 18306.An Oregon witness watched an object hovering at the tree line level for about four minutes. The object hovered for about one minute. The object was described as a "great white yellow ball of fire, very bright."MA, July 18, 2009 - Saw 1 object across sky change colors shape, then 2nd craft appeared. MUFON Case # 18305.A Massachusetts witness first saw what he thought was an airplane, but then the craft suddenly went "pitch black" and seemed to be a cigar shape, then it changed its light pattern to where it was "green on the bottom, and a redish green on the top." While the witness was observing this craft, a second craft appeared. The second craft also shuts off its lights, "then all of a sudden this thing lights up from the bottom with a yellowish white light." It appeared that it was not one light, "but 3 or 4 clusters of lights at different segments of the craft." The silent craft now looked like a triangle. The witness served in Iraq and says he is familiar with known aircraft - and this was not anything normal. He said a few minutes later, he could hear "the faint whisp of helicopter rotors coming from the south."IN, July 24, 2009 - Triangle, motionless, instantaneous light formation change. MUFON Case # 18305.An Indiana motorist saw an object flying at low altitude with "3 very bright white lights and was shaped as a triangle." Illustration: Produced by witness. MUFON database.The object was first noticed in a hovering position. Then "the two lights on the side turned off and were immediately replaced by two lights going straight down (almost like a rod). Two bright white lights, one in the top and one in the middle and one red light at the bottom." There were no blinking lights on the object.MO, July 18, 2009 - UFO appears in answer to telepathic message. MUFON Case # 18297.This MUFON field investigator reports that a UFO sighting might be related to sending a telephathic meessage asking for a UFO to appear. Immediately after attempting to send out a message, "a very bright large light blinked on in the NNW sky at approximately 75 degrees up from the horizon. This was three times the size and brightness of Venus. The object stayed still for about five seconds, then moved North slowly for a short distance and stopped, then blinked out. I got the feeling that there was a craft there all along and it just put lights on so I could see it and know it was there, and moved so there would be no question that it was answering my message."

A couple camping near Salida, Colorado, reported seeing an odd creature in a series of photos they took at their campsite, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.They also reported seeing a UFO that evening.The following story is unedited.CO, July 24, 2009 - Strange creature in picture of my wife playing flute while camping! MUFON Case # 18348.We were camping near Salida, Co on July 24th 2009. I took 3 photos of this creature by the fire. I didn’t see the creature until later that night! You can see it has an arm sticking out of left side in all 3 photos. Not sure what it is? A few minutes later we saw a huge white light in the sky moving towards us! It vanished very slowly. It came from the top of the mountain. We were in a very remote camping spot accessible to 4x4 only. I took photos of the object and it looks like a worm like white light.

A triangle-shaped craft was spotted over Ohio and photographed by a witness there, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.The Ohio witness was quick to grab a camera when a silent object was seen crossing the sky.The "object appears to be a triangle with a light at each point. The brightest light in the picture was at the rear of the craft."The very next night, this witness and his wife saw "orange or red glowing orbs in the sky" that resembled the Phoenix Lights.Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. MUFON Case # 18309.i was out on my back pourch looking due east. taveling east to west object appeared a very bright star 20deg above horizon. I ran in the house and grabbed my camera when i was able to get the object in the view finder it was at my 12:00.no noise was heard and the object crossed the eastern sky to 12:00 in about 4sec.i am uploading 3 stills that were captured after reviewing the video. the object appears to be a triangle with a light at each point.the brightest light in the picture was at the rear of the craft. in a somewhat related incident. the next night my wife and myself saw to the east again, around 2200hrs what can only be described as an orange or red glowing orbs in the sky. these lights resembled the pheonix lights. this incident lasted about 15min which i was also able to capture with a hd camera.a total of about six light were captured but only once were to captured at one time about 20deg east both at the same altitude with mabey 1/4 mile between them. the lights moved south to north the appeared to vanish then another would appear in the same place as the first.again, i was able to capture the event on high def video. i will also share those captures.

A couple honeymooning in Sedona, Arizona, first saw a brilliant light in the sky from their hotel balcony, but later described the object as a "gyro sphere shape made of mostly energy," according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.After watching the light for 10 minutes, they took video and stil images of the object.The couple said that the next day they went into Sedona, to Ye Olde UFO Store, and discovered that there was a second witness to the same object on the same night. Store owner Jennifer McCoy acknowledged Monday that they did have a second witness."We do have similar photos and testimonies similar to theirs," McCoy said.Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. We took pictures and videos. it appeared to be a gyrosphere shape made of mostly energy. MUFON Case # 18328.We were on our Honeymoon in Sedona staying at the Wyndham. On the night of July 19, 2009, at 11:10 PM we went on our balcony, which overlooks the mountains, and saw a brilliant light in the sky, above the mountain. At first I thought it could be an airplane or helicopter but then realized it was too high for a helicopter. And that an airplane would not stay still for so long - there were also no red blinking lights that an airplane has when flying at night. There were few stars in the sky, due to some storm clouds and light pollution - it was the only light. After 10 min with it still in one spot we grabbed our camera and took still pictures and video. Attached are photos, and video which we took that night. When we viewed the video enlarged, it appeared to be a gyro sphere shape made of mostly energy. You will see a rotating ball of light in the center of the screen. We left the camera on a tripod so it stayed stationary. As you will see it just hovers in the sky. Then the UFO fades out, due to cloud coverage. We were excited that we saw this UFO on our Honeymoon. Three days later we went to a store in Sedona called "Ye Olde UFO Store", they sell UFO items such as T-shirts, bumper stickers etc. We wanted to get a T-shirt for ourselves because of the event. We spoke with the store manager Jen, who told us her boss Bill saw the same object in the sky on the very same night we did. He drew a picture of what he saw, and it was exactly what we had on film - exciting!!

California UFO cases share common witness testimonyJuly 31, 10:06 PMSeveral related 2008 UFO reports from the same region in California may be the same craft, according to one of the witnesses from Calabasas.The witness said that during the same time period, a Sacramento News 10 helicopter also captured the object on video. See video at top of this page and read the story about their experience.The following is the original and unedited witness statements from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.CA, November 14, 2008 - Huge V shaped, with red flashing lights. MUFON Case # 13714.In this case, the Calabasas witness and her husband were having dinner on their deck overlooking the San Fernando Valley when they "observed a very large, silent, V shaped craft that had red flashing lights around its perimeter" moving south to north.CA, November 14, 2008 - V shaped faint starlight intensity lights slowly going across sky from south to north. MUFON Case # 15928.This California witness "saw a large v-shaped grouping of lights, it seemed about 6 or so starlight intensity lights on each side of the leading edges of the wings of the 'v'." The large, slow-moving object was the "color of a dim star." CA, November 14, 2008 - Very large V shaped with red lights visible underneath in san fernando valley. MUFON Case # 14894.A California couple sitting in their convertible noticed an "unusualy large object in the north east sky." They described the object as "an absolutely enormous V shaped craft was lazily headed due north, it's lack of forward speed almost suggested a lighter than air vehicle if it was a reasonably sized craft, but I knew what I was seeing was either a distorted sense of scale, or this "V" had to be several hundreds of feet across MINIMUM!" There were a numbe of red lights on the craft and "a reddish glow emeinating or reflecting off of the bottom, almost a shimmering, with some intricate fine detail barely visible underneath through the reddish glow I first attributed to reflection from the nearby forrest fire." With no possible abstructions to cut their view, the object vanished in "no more than 5 seconds."CA, November 14, 2008 - On 11-14-08 I heard low humming sound which caused me to look up , that's when I seen 7 to 8 red lights on the sides of what looked like a diamond or triangle shaped craft. MUFON Case # 13731.A witness in Sylmar, California, first heard a "low humming noise" in the sky, look up, and "noticed 7 to 8 bright red lights on what looked like a very large diamond or triangular shaped craft" moving slowly over the northeast end of the San Fernando Valley skies. The "red lights were stationary and suddenly they began to move rapidly around the edge of the craft in a strobe like fashion." Then "large object appeared to seperate into 7 smaller crafts,each had one white light with a red light encircling it very rapidly." The smaller objects flew off in different directions and one flew back toward their home. They then noticed that this object "had 4 white lights on its underside and a single red light going rapidly around it."The witness also relates that about an hour later, around 10:30 p.m., a major fire broke out in the exact area where these craft were flying and wonders if they had anthing to do with it.CA, November 14, 2008 - Black Isoceles Triangle. MUFON Case # 13719.Two California witnesses first saw a "moving light floating across the sky." And then about one minute later, they noticed a "HUGE black isocolese triangular UFO with 8 (I believe, maybe 7 or 9) red lights on the front, left, and right sides, coming at us with the V of the triangle in front, very, very slowly." They object "was less than 100 feet in the air, and when it got over my backyard, the red lights started blinking very rapidly, like the way the red lights on a modem would blink. Rapid and untamed. It took about a minute and a half for it to get from one end of my yard to the other, which is about 50 feet, so if you did the math on that you would figure out how fast it was going." They described the object as a few hundred feet, a few hundred feet in length, and 50 feet in height and "solid, perfectly shaped, very black, no sound, very close." They moved to a different location to look for the object, and noticed "there were dozens of helicopters and planes in the sky. Dozens. They were everywhere. It was like an invasion of our own air force."The Calabasas witness said that the following video - taken almost one year earlier to the day - seemed to match what she saw.

Since more and more Canadians are reporting UFOs each year, the 20-year longitudinal analysis remains useful in understanding the Characteristics of UFO sightings.Marc D'Antonio How to talk to a Skeptic about UFOs Marc is involved quite a bit into the seminar and his topic on talking to a "Skeptic" about UFOs should prove to be quite interesting. As president of FX Models, a model making company, and with a degree in astronomy, D'Antonio used computers for creating powerful image processing before computers became mainstream in Ufology. Currently he spends time creating digital models for the Navy and private industry. Marc believes that the only way to convince a skeptic of the existence of UFOs is to let the skeptic conclude on their own that visitations from other worlds could be likely.Kevin D. Randle Bringing the Scientific Method to the Study of UFOs| For more than thirty years, Kevin has provided an invaluable insight to the military's investigation of UFOs. His keen use of military operations and protocols is largely due to his training as an Army helicopter pilot, intelligence officer and military policeman. Of course the fact that he was trained by the Air Force as a intelligence office and public affairs officer, did hurt either!. Kevin is sure that showing the world a way to investigating and study UFOs is by paying attention to detail and not illusion, delusion, misidentification and hoax. UFO experts to converge in Denverposted by: Randy Barber 11 hrs ago DENVER - Before man first stepped foot on the moon, a group of stargazers have worked to prove there really are UFOs.The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is marking its 40th Anniversary with a big conference in Denver. The group's goal is to collect and analyze data on unidentified flying objects with the goal of learning what those UFOs are and whether there is extraterrestrial life. The event at the Marriot Denver Tech Center from Thursday through Saturday will feature some of the top speakers on UFO research, who will present their evidence and research of recent UFO sightings in the US and Canada. "We actually had 670 reportings to our website in the month of July, of which 31 of those were right here in Colorado," said James Carrion, MUFON's International Director. "We have a dispatch operation that categorizes them as soon as they come in into 1 of 3 categories, low priority to high priority," he explained. "If it's a high priority case, something that was seen close to the witness, or something that landed, or a creature that was seen walking around, we send investigators out right away. We have a rapid response team that will get there within 24 hours, and gather the data while it's fresh." He says that Colorado has been a hotbed of UFO activity, which explains why MUFON is based in Fort Collins. "There's UFO activity everywhere," Carrion said. "A lot of it has to do with the fact that space command is here; we have NORAD, a lot of military installations, there's just a long history of UFOs in Colorado, from the 1968 University of Colorado CONDIN Report that scientifically studied the subject, so we're UFO central." His research and investigations are impressive as they include the Kenneth Arnold Sighting, the McMinnville, Oregon photos, the Gemini 11 astronaut photos and the 1997 Phoenix lights sighting of March 13, 1997 among them. Dr. Maccabee is also very experienced in optical data processing and high powered lasers! A mere photograph of a UFO cannot be considered proof of the existence of a UFO until it can be proved true, Dr. Maccabee will include some of his approaches in considering the claims made by the photographer as to the proof represented;Dr. FRANK SALISBURY Reflections of an Old UFO Chaser Dr. Salisbury has a degrees in botany, biochemistry, geochemistry and plant physiology. He has taught ecology, general biology and other subjects at various universities. His talk will cover his several years as a member of the National Enquirer Blue Ribbon Panel. There he evaluatied UFO reports and a book based on reports collected by Joseph Junior Hicks. He is expected to provide insight into the UFO Phenomenon from his experience over the years and from his perspective as a scientist. TED PHILLIPS Dramatic Changes in Trace/Landing Events Ted is currently the director of the Center for UFO Research and in 1964 began investigating UFO Reports. He was a research associate of Dr. J. Allen Hynek and specialized in Physical Traces with UFO Sightings. Phillips has personal files containing 3,189 physical trace landings from 91 countries and continues to research active sites in the central U.S. with major projects in the Tatra Mountains, Slovakia. Ted's presentation will include the results of a 41 year study of UFO landing events. The results include dramatic changes in the immediate area of landings for years after the landing event. The samples and tests results of the sight, are as mentioned, can be over a long period of time, sometimes years. JOHN VENTRE UFOs over Pennsylvania John was mentioned in my previous article . As the West Virginia State Director of MUFON, John has been in charge of numerous investigations of UFO sightings in Pennsylvania in 2008 and was the subject of of "UFO's Over Earth" on the Discovery Channel. John is a very interesting speaker and is going to review his most interesting cases supported by scientific analysis. JAMES CARRION New Research Avenues for Ufology If you know anything about MUFON, you know about James Carrion. When James was 11 years old he collected news clippings of UFOs. After serving in the Military Intelligence Corps, in 1996 James joined MUFON and since 2006 has been MUFON's International Director. As with many people, a quest or obsession to find the truth about UFO's can be time consuming. James will discuss new lines of research which can be explored in the discovery of this truth. Triangle UFO moves low over Staten IslandAugust 4, 11:43 PMThe UFO Traffic Report for Wednesday, August 5, 2009, includes 11 selected sightings over 11 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 24 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. The following reports and their headlines are unedited. MUFON Case # 18455.A Staten Island, New York, witness out walking his dog first noticed two lights in the sky "moving rather quickly." Once the object was overhead, they "noticed it it was actually 3 lights in a triangular shape with a blinking red light dead in the center. I could not see the outline of the object, but it was blocking out the stars above it." They said that this silent object was larger than a plane. They also report "a 4th light in between the 2 lights in the back of the craft. It seemed very odd that a 4th light would just illuminate suddenly."TX, July 28, 2009 - 2 reports- 1 for July 28, 2009: Objects appear in photos of storm clouds; 2nd report: Aug. 2, 2009: Red burst of light in night sky. MUFON Case # 18473.A Texas witness has two reports. First, on July 28, 2009, while taking photos as a storm was approaching, an odd object showed up on two of the images. Then on August 2, 2009, the same person saw multiple red flashes of light in the sky. The witness states that "the flashes were more like a burst or pulse, which seemed to radiate out from a fixed position in the sky."NH, August 3, 2009 - Erractic and jerky-moving non-blinking white light in clear night sky, brighter than Venus, observed for several hours while stars nearby appeared normal. MUFON Case # 18475.A Rochester, New Hampshire, resident reports several sightings. First, on July 28, 2009, the witness observed "an unusual light in the eastern sky while standing on Hampton Beach. It was an erratic and jerky-moving non-blinking white light in the clear night sky, brighter than venus." A police officer from Hampton Beach also witnesses the event. Then on August 3, 2009, the witness observed a similar light in Dover, New Hampshire, but continued to watch the object from his home in Rochester.CO, July 22, 2009 - i saw it shimmering in the sunset. MUFON Case # 18474.A Colorado witness out dog walking at sunset noticed "a disc shaped object in the sky floating around." After watching it move around the sky, it then "went almost straight up and was gone."CA, August 3, 2009 - Triangle composed of individual orbs rotating around a central orb (3 orbs total). MUFON Case # 18471.Two California witnesses out driving said a light in the sky caught their eye. Then they noticed it was a series of orbs moving in a triangular fashion around a central orb. "This thing was MASSIVE. It took up a chunk of the horizon, and there is no way that someone could have missed this. I can't really estimate the size, but it looked like it could have been 1000 ft. on each side." The witness stated that "the orbs just kind of 'turned off' as if a candle was blown out in a room."AR, July 31, 2009 - UFO. MUFON Case # 18470.An Arkansas witness noticed a light in the sky while at a stop light. "The object was bright at first, like a star, but the lights faded and I could see what appeared to be a dark, triangular object that appeared to hover or rotate in place." Then after just 2 or 3 seconds, the object "shot off into the distance - faster than a shooting star." The witness is hoping there were more more witnesses.MO, August 1, 2009 - saw multiple red lights rising steadily one after another, up and off to our left. aproximately 7 differnt lights all the same. MUFON Case # 18463.Photo: Witness image was cropped and reduced in size for this page. MUFON database.Three Missouri witnesses night fishing on Lake of the Ozarks on the Grand Glaize Arm first "noticed a red soda can shaped deep red light slowly moving across the sky at a low altitude." As they moved their boat into an arm of the lake, "we see another rising in the sky and starting to move off in the same direction as the one we saw on the other side of the arm." Then a few seconds later they report, "we saw one rise from over the trees to our right (like a ballon being released)and steadily move more away from us and to the right where the first couple seemed to just move straight to our right. At this point we were confused because they seem to be rising from the trees from pretty close by." They noticed that the lights were disappearing "after about 15 to 20 seconds and seemed to be covering a bit of ground quickly." The estimate having seen 7 or 8 of these objects. They guessed that the objects were "some extreemly bright, big, deep red ballons but seemed to be moving far to quickly for the wind to be blowing them not to mention there was almost no breeze and what breeze there was was hitting us directly in the face....not out to our right and away from us." The witness says the lights were caught on camera in the center of the image, and that the lights in the lower right corner were from a home that appeared to be having a party and that the lights were moving directly over them.IN, July 3, 2009 - round lighted object, not aircraft. MUFON Case # 18461.This Indiana witness and his daughter were driving near Deputy, Indiana, when they a "round, glowing object" that was hovering in the sky. A few seconds later, the object "ascended into the overcast and was not seen again." The witness points out that the town of "Deputy is near a former military proving ground (Jefferson), now used for urban warfare training."FL, August 3, 2009 - shiny metallic disc floating above the tree line near USF. MUFON Case # 18459.A Florida witness driving along Fletcher Avenue near the University of South Florida saw "a very shiny metallic disc with a slightly conical shape above the tree line."IL, July 31, 2009 - was outside when a ball of light showed up then turned triangle. MUFON Case # 18456.Two Illinois witnesses watched a "bright ball of light appear and disapear." Then when it reappeared, "it had turned from ball of light to triangle with lots of flashing lights." They took video, but could not upload it to the MUFON web site.OH, August 2, 2009 - 16 bright glowing orange/red objects flying 3 at a time in a "V" formation that disappeared into sky. MUFON Case # 18451.Two Ohio witnesses saw three "very-bright orange glowing object in the sky, flying in a "V" formation, heading West South West." They said the object then seemed to "dissipate into the night air." Then five minutes later, another group of three lights appeared and headed in the same direction as the original three. They stopped at a Steak-n-Shake to eat, and now outside with the restaurant crew and customers, "5 of these things, flying in the same direction and disappearing at the same point as the ones before them" came across the sky. The witness states that "16 of these aircrafts" were observed.
UFO video shot over Gonzales, Louisiana, August 3, 2009August 4, 11:59 PMA Louisiana witness videotaped several UFOs in the sky, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.The video is rather poor, but does get more interesting at the 2:20 minute mark.Following is the unedited witness testimony as reported to MUFON.LA, August 3, 2009 - two showed up close as others stayed star-like in distance. MUFON Case # 18466.This time, I was alone. I was expecting nothing. After about an hour or so of standing outside (alone) my wife decided to head to the store. A few minutes after she left one of them showed up a few thousand feet up or so and moved along the sky and disappeared. 20 more minutes go by and as I looked up I saw one high and to my south (light up and then disappear) really quick, but headed back in my direction. I got my camera ready, but what was about to happen; in all honesty I was not ready for. Within just a few seconds, very close the craft lit up out of nowhere. I started filming, which is difficult when they fly directly above you, as it went out of view over the tops of the trees in my yard, I ran out to finish filming it as it left the area. I was a little shook up this time, mostly because they surprised me. After returning from a short break, several minutes went by and to my west, one lit up out of nowhere for a split second and out of of the corner of my eye to the south I filmed another craft, very beautiful and brightly lit slowly traveling just above the tree lines. After these two, I stopped for the night, I had enough for one evening.

MUFON database.An Anacortes, Washington, man and his son saw a triangle-shaped UFO with three red lights at each of its points, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.The witness said the craft made two different sounds - "a high pitch whine" - and a "rumble.""There were also two white alternating lights that appeared to be in a center-front position on the bottom of the craft."They are not sure if what they saw was a military craft. The object was moving very slowly at a low altitude across the sky.The following is the unedited witness statement from MUFON.WA, August 3, 2009 - Slow moving, large, loud & whinning, the main lights had a triangular formation. MUFON Case # 18477.Last night my son and I saw a "UFO" over Anacortes, Washington, heading southeast.It made two noises, one of which was a high pitch whine, sort of like as a plane might be diving or crashing, the other sound was more of a rumble similar to a very large blimp. My sons, were awoke by the rumble.It had three lights which were airplane like, in a light red tone forming a perfect equilateral triangle. There were also two white alternating lights that appeared to be in a center-front position on the bottom of the craft.It appeared to be flying very slow and at low altitude as it flew over toward the refinery. I saw what looked like a wide flattish wing bending up at the outside edge, in a grey shade, as the refinery's flame reflected off the item, (the Flares give off an eerie glow as they burn, so who knows the actual color).I saw the UFO from a different angle than my son, He was on the 2nd floor, I was on ground level. getting water, when I heard the rumble and then the whining . It sounded like a plane going to crash and I went to look out back, it had already passed over, so I ran back inside and watched the triangle of lights continue towards the refinery (the color seems not as red to me, but I was looking through low-E glass).Our guess is some sort of military item, but we can't identify it. My son, (who is very into military aircraft) thinks the closest likeness would be a C-130j super Hercules, as perhaps a cargo plane for the Blue Angels, but he really didn't think that was it. He said it was moving too slowly for anything he could think of, and if it was in fact moving at a normal cruising speed, then that would make the craft a massive size, being that it would be at high altitude. When he went out in front of the house to look again, the craft started to fade off in the distance and for the last portion of visibility the only lights to be seen were the white flashing ones. We watched until it flew out of range and/or was no longer in sight We stayed up for quite awhile watching the sky trying to find it again, but to no avail.We live very close to a Naval air station, and also have the Blue Angles in Seattle for Seafair. We get all the navy jets, planes and Helicopters over our house on a regular basis, but we had never seen or heard anything like this. We also have Helicopters landing and taking off within a mile of us as well.
